“ Food from The Bar is ALWAYS delicious! Never ever had a bad meal - every time it's so scrumptious and fresh - service is great, prices are good, decor is great. Highly recommend!! ”
“ Adorable bar and restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. The main entree was beautiful and the best meal I had in Wales. ”
“ So good we went twice. Excellent service, Liam and staff very friendly and professional. Food is superb. Rates as one of the top meals out we've recently had ”
“ Last minute decision to call and hopefully book a table! Venue unable to accommodate our preferred time, but happy with alternative - it was last minute! What a great choice of venue. Plenty of options on the menu as well as a good selection of drinks. I had the mushroom and sun-dried tomatoes linguine with pesto, a creamy sauce and parmesan. It looked fabulous, and being so eager to tuck in I forgot to take a pic! It tasted delicious, accompanied by two generous slices of garlic and cheesy bread. Finished off with a lovely blackcurrant and prosecco cheesecake - I managed a pic this time! Value for money - would definitely come here again. ”
“ When I discovered this place by the marina, I thought people came here mainly for the atmosphere and the opportunity to observe the open space at the mouth of the river. However, the dinner was amazing! The swordfish is a very good size, perfectly cooked (a real hearty steak), nice texture, no aftertaste and with a good selection of juicy vegetables. The service is impeccable. Many thanks to the waiter who made my visit very comfortable! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy small pleasures! ”
“ Gorgeous food, very well presented and service was fast; I couldn't believe how fast we received our meal after ordering. I had given up hope of eating steak again, as there always seemed to be more fat and gristle than meat, but not time, and I enjoyed every bit of it. It's just a shame that the restaurant wasn't bigger, as you HAD to have a reservation; so anyone rocking up after a hard sail and starving would be out of luck. There was an outdoor area, but that's weather dependant, of course. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and were able to assist in both meal and drink choices. We even booked the sunday lunch in advance to save disappointment. The Sunday lunch was OUTSTANDING and had to be added to this review, as everything was so tasty and well prepared. Your choice of meal was served, and then individual bowls of veg came out, nicely portioned, extremely tasty, and certainly not overcooked and limp like others I have had. I even like the mashed swede, and I NEVER eat swede normally, that's how nice the veg was. I truly am not over selling how lovely the food is here. But it's worth a mention that even if you have not made a reservation, you are still welcome at the bar for a well-deserved drink. ”
“ The Bar is a lovely venue overlooking the Neyland Harbour, serving a range of food and drinks. My recent visit was part of a work Christmas meal, which was incredibly easy and smooth to arrange with the kind staff at the Bar. There were plenty of menu items to choose from for our Christmas dinner as well as a festive range of drinks. Our food was served promptly and we were checked up on frequently for additional drinks etc. Overall a pleasant and vibrant place to have a special meal. The staff are friendly and the view over the harbour makes it a standout spot for a meal. ”
“ The bar staff and the customers were very helpful and pleasant, as I am visually impaired I needed some assistance and they were all really forthcoming and helped me where they could. [The food and drink is really nice. Good quality and hot. ”
